The Free level is a quiet way to stay oriented. You'll receive public blog posts and updates—announcements, surface-level studio notes, and occasional glimpses of what’s ahead. This level is read-only and intentionally quiet. If you want to keep an eye on what I’m making and where the year is heading, get occasional insights into JC's process, this is the right place.

The Paid level is for people who want to go behind the scenes—inside my thinking, my process, and the way my life and work intersect as the year unfolds. Paid subscribers receive:

• Full community access. You can read, ask questions, start discussions, comment, or share ideas inside the community space. Participation is entirely optional—you’re welcome to engage actively or simply stay connected and observe as the work develops.

• Two professionally filmed, narrated technical demonstrations (90-day access)Each demonstration shows a complete work being made from start to finish. The footage is professionally filmed from multiple angles so you can clearly see what’s happening at every stage. I narrate throughout, talking through decisions as they’re made. These are not classes or lessons—they are full technical demonstrations of my work, carefully documented and shared with context. Access to each demo is available for 90 days. (Just because there are two professional demos included, doesn't exclude additional improvised demos and process videos throughout the year, too!!)

• See-it-buy-it-first access to new work Paid members receive a 24-hour head-start window to view and purchase most new work before it’s released publicly. This gives you time to look closely and decide without competition from the broader public.

• Occasional subscriber-only auctions From time to time, I’ll offer limited auctions open only to paid and premium subscribers. These are small, contained bidding opportunities with a very limited group of people, sometimes allowing access to work under conditions and pricing that don’t exist elsewhere.

• Four live video chats throughout the year (Google Meet)These live gatherings are hosted on Google Meet and are not recorded. They give us a chance to check in, share updates, ask questions, and connect as the year progresses. They will be scheduled to align with major moments in the year.

• Monthly giveaways of work + a year-end giveaway Paid subscribers are automatically entered to participate in monthly giveaways throughout the year. At the end of the year, there will also be a special year-end giveaway featuring a more significant item.

• One poster mailed in late summer. A set of four posters will be created to commemorate the year. As a Paid subscriber, you’ll receive one randomly selected, autographed poster from that set, mailed to you in late summer

• One-time 10% Etsy discount. You’ll receive a one-time 10% discount to use in my Etsy shop as a thank you for subscribing.

• Downloadable digital compilation of the year (after the year concludes)After the year ends and everything is compiled, Paid subscribers receive a downloadable digital archive of the year. This includes the writing, images, and documentation shared throughout the year, assembled into a single file.(This archive does not include the time-limited technical demonstrations or recordings of live chats.)

• Deeper blog posts and personal insight. Paid members receive more in-depth posts throughout the year, including reflections on the work, insight into decisions as they’re being made, and glimpses into my home and land in the Trinity Alps—the coastal mountain range of Northern California—and how the home and land that I own shapes my life.

This level is about proximity, access, and insider knowledge—being present while the process is happening.

The Premium level includes everything in the Paid subscription—full community access, the ability to read, ask questions, start discussions, and share ideas; early access to new work; professionally filmed technical demonstrations; live Google Meet sessions; subscriber-only auctions; giveaways; a poster; a digital archive of the year; and deeper writing that shares insight into my life, home, land, and process as the year unfolds.

What distinguishes Premium is permanence. This level is designed for a very small group—no more than ten people—who want to carry physical records of the year forward. Premium subscribers receive objects and documentation created directly from what happens across the year, things that don’t exist anywhere else and won’t be repeated. Premium subscribers receive:

• Everything included in the Paid level, of course.

• Ongoing 10% Etsy discount Premium subscribers receive an ongoing 10% discount in my Etsy shop for the duration of their subscription.

• $100 Etsy gift certificate (after a full year is paid)Premium subscribers receive a $100 Etsy gift certificate after paying for a full year. This can happen immediately if the year is paid in full up front, or at the end of the year if paid monthly.

• Four-poster set, mailed in late summer. A complete set of four posters will be created to commemorate the year. Premium subscribers receive the full set, autographed, and mailed together in late summer.

• Set of three ornaments. Premium subscribers receive a set of three ornaments, mailed after Thanksgiving—right in time to decorate for Christmas. They’re designed to feel festive for the season, but refined enough that you may want to keep them out year-round.

• Collaboratively designed commemorative bead. Premium subscribers have the rare opportunity to design a commemorative bead created for the year, participating in the design process in real time with JC. The design will be discussed and decided upon together as a group, allowing rare access to JC's design process, and the finished bead will be produced and delivered after the group's design process is complete.

• Premium bead Each premium subscriber will receive one premium bead with a full year's paid subscription, selected personally by JC and delivered during one of JC's production windows.

• Printed art book documenting the full year (delivered after the year concludes)After the year wraps up and everything has had time to settle, Premium subscribers receive a professionally produced art book. This book brings together the full arc of the year—what was made, how ideas shifted, what mattered, and how the work evolved through travel, teaching, return, and deep production. It’s created after the year concludes so it can be complete, thoughtful, and true to what actually happened.

This level is about proximity plus permanence—exclusivity, collectability, and carrying forward physical objects and documentation from a year that won’t be repeated.
